Both the Cloud Awards and SaaS Awards programs aim to identify and celebrate real industry innovators. Just a few days ago, the team learned that 2021 SaaS Security Innovation of the Year winner, Siemplify, has been acquired by Google.

SaaS Awards judge Jason Ford said: “Although cloud based SIEM tools are nothing new, the cyber ontology engine is truly impressive, delivering value quickly and without the usual steep learning curve associated with a SIEM,” adding: “I’m not surprised they’ve been acquired by Google — it’s a really good product!”

Security operations platform

Founder Amos Stern said in his announcement last week: “This marks an important milestone in the Siemplify journey. When co-founders Alon Cohen and Garry Fatakhov and I started Siemplify in 2015, we all knew, from our experience building and training security operations centers from around the world, that security operations was a function in dire need of innovation.

“Naturally, security orchestration, automation and response (SOAR) as a category did not yet exist, and as is often the case with startups, we had to keep innovating, working with customers and listening to the market in order to build a security operations platform that truly improves the way security teams respond to cyberthreats.”

Congratulations on your new working alliance from the SaaS Awards team, Siemplify!

The SaaS Awards re-opens this week for entries to its 2022 program.
