We share in the global concern about the health and livelihoods of those around us. In these challenging times, for the SaaS Awards it is business as usual, with an upcoming deadline of Friday 22 May.
Because both the SaaS Awards and Cloud Awards programs do not hold a physical awards ceremony, we are unaffected by the COVID-19 outbreak.
All business operations will continue as normal and we will continue to offer email support and our judging panel are all able to conduct their work from home.
During these very difficult times it is more important than ever that the marketing function of business continues to fire on all cylinders, and we hope to continue to play some small part in acknowledging and celebrating your success and innovation not only in the cloud, but with the software awards program, across every industry worldwide.
We hope that all of you are safe and well, where applicable able to happily and safely work from home during this difficult time, and look forward to judging your world-beating submissions when the deadline arrives towards the end of May.
Why don’t you hold a physical event?
We understand that any business event is an opportunity to network. We also understand that awards ceremonies are impossible for every one of our international nominees to attend. In order to keep the SaaS Awards and Cloud Awards truly global, we have never held a physical event and have no plans to start in the future. Both the Cloud and SaaS Awards programs are about celebrating innovation and excellence – not charging thousands of dollars per table. Similarly, unlike some awards programs, we never charge extra for delivery and receipt of winners’ trophies.
Submission fees frozen for fifth year running
Considering the current situation, we have also made the decision to freeze our submissions fees for the fifth year running. This will remain in place for both the 2020 SaaS Awards and the 2020-21 Cloud Awards.
Please bear in mind that for the 2021 SaaS Awards onwards, the submission fees will increase to $495 for a single entry, and $695 for unlimited awards entries. A new ‘early bird’ fee at the current rate of $395 and $595 respectively will apply for organizations who are able to complete their submissions well ahead of the final deadlines.

A warm welcome to new judge Graham Beale
The Cloud & SaaS Awards team is joined this year by seasoned UX expert Graham Beale. Graham, a specialist in outcome-driven methodologies such as Lean UX, says: “I’m hugely excited to be on the judging team for the SaaS Awards, and am looking forward to discovering how applicants have embraced UX Research and Design to produce measurable differences to both users and business… but a word of warning: the judging for the UX category in this year’s SaaS Awards will be pursued with the utmost rigor this year!”
Please note that in line with Graham’s recommendations, the submissions form for the UX category of the 2020 SaaS Awards has been updated, so you may wish to download the most current pack of submissions forms.
