In this interview, Kunal Kapoor, Managing Director of Coats Digital tells us more about their award-winning platform – FastReactFabric – what inspired them to bring the platform to market, problems they help the fashion and supply chain industries overcome, and what they think makes their platform award winning.

Hi Kunal, congratulations on your double SaaS Awards win! Please can you provide a brief introduction to Coats Digital?

“Coats Digital is a global leader in digital transformation for the fashion industry. Our award-winning solution, FastReactFabric, is a cloud-based platform that optimizes fabric management – cutting costs, reducing waste, and streamlining workflows for manufacturers worldwide. ”

What inspired the development of FastReactFabric?

“Fabric is one of fashion’s largest cost drivers. We developed FastReactFabric to digitize and optimize fabric management, making it smarter, more efficient, and sustainable.”

What industry challenges or problems does FastReactFabric solve?

“Fabric accounts for 60% – 70% of a garment’s manufacturing cost. By automating processes and providing real-time data FastReactFabric reduces waste, improves sustainability, and boosts profit margins for manufacturers worldwide.”

Can you share any examples of customer success?

“Of course, there are many, but I’d share two examples for now:

“Pan Brothers in Indonesia increased production efficiency by 10% using FastReactFabric. Meanwhile, Texeurop in Bangladesh automated 60% of its fabric cutting, eliminating over or under-buying issues, and reducing dead stock.”

What were the biggest challenges you faced when developing and launching FastReactFabric? How were they overcome?

“The key challenge was integrating diverse data from fabric buying and cutting. These operations are very complex. We overcame this by combining cutting-edge technology with deep industry expertise, creating a seamless, connected platform.”
